Ginataang Kalabasa at Sitaw with Shrimp

Ginataang Kalabasa at Sitaw with Hipon

INGREDIENTS:

500g Kalabasa/Squash (cut into cubes)
1 small bundle of Sitaw/String Beans (2 inches cut)
500ml Gata/Coconut Milk
6pcs Hipon/Shrimp (deveined)
5tsp Fish Sauce
thumb big Ginger (sliced)
1 Lemon Grass (optional: for extra flavor)
5 clove of Garlic 
1 medium Onion

Healthy, simple, but tasty ingredients of Ginataang Kalabasa at Sitaw.

PROCEDURES:

1. Put 500ml coconut milk in a pot and add in lemongrass, ginger, garlic, and onion. Let it simmer.
2. When coconut milk is reduced, add in kalabasa/squash. Let it simmer.
3. Season with fish sauce.
4. If kalabasa/squash is cooked (soft enough) or about to be cooked (if you prefer a little hard), add in sitaw/string beans.
5. Before string beans cooked, add shrimp and extra coconut oil. Let it simmer to cook. 
6. Don't overdone the shrimp.
7. Serve and enjoy!
